28 Ukrainians from the film industry became members of the European Film Academy. Among them are directors, producers, film composers, cameramen, costume and make-up artists. In total, this year the European Film Academy accepted a record number of new members – 462. “This year, membership accepted a record number of invited European filmmakers, which strengthened the voice of European cinema throughout the continent,” the message reads. The European Film Academy invites new members only once a year. In the lists this time you can see representatives of different countries: France, Poland, Iceland, Slovenia, Hungary and others. In addition, there is one representative each from the aggressor country of Russia and Belarus.
