43% of the surveyed parents are dissatisfied with the level of their children’s knowledge of the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian literature.
This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by the State Education Quality Service, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
At the same time, the level of satisfaction of parents with ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language in educational institutions increased by 6% this year (93%) compared to the last academic year (87%).
According to the results of the study, Ukrainian is the mother tongue of 94% of teachers, 93% of parents and 91% of students.
In addition, 72% of students noted the desire to further develop or improve their knowledge of the Ukrainian language, but only 32% took advantage of this opportunity.

30,284 participants in the educational process took part in the study, including 3,726 teachers, 10,558 parents, and 16,000 students.
We will remind you that earlier in Ukraine a new program with a Ukrainian studies component was approved for schoolchildren studying abroad.
The Ministry of Education and Culture also proposes to introduce Ukrainian language electives in German schools.
