45% of Ukrainians believe that they are most discriminated against in Ukraine on the basis of language – survey

45% of Ukrainians believe that there is discrimination based on language in Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the results of an all-Ukrainian survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology commissioned by the Consultative Mission of the European Union in Ukraine.
Respondents were asked whether Ukrainians are discriminated against on certain grounds.
“Yes” answered 45% of respondents, adding that there is discrimination based on language in the country. Another 55% answered that they do not feel pressured by the language issue.

Respondents also believe that there is discrimination in Ukraine for:
- sexual orientation – 34%;
- presence of disability – 28%;
- age – 27%;
- ethnicity – 23%;
- article – 22%.

The survey was conducted during September 4-20, 2023.
A total of 2,005 respondents aged 18 and over who live in all regions controlled by Ukraine were interviewed by the method of personal interviews.
The statistical error of such a sample did not exceed 3.3%.
