A 14-year-old schoolboy from Kyiv, along with his younger sister and aunt, spent more than 5 hours in an apartment on the 13th floor engulfed in smoke and flames.

Their house was damaged by morning mass shelling, UNICEF Ukraine reported.

When the exit signal sounded, Danylo, along with his 10-year-old cousin and aunt, were still sleeping. His parents were at work at that time.

“There were flames and smoke, my sister was very scared. We immediately started extinguishing the flames with water, I was inhaling the smoke.” – the guy remembers.

Rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were able to reach their apartment in the afternoon, when the flames had already been contained.

During the entire rescue operation, his parents and friends waited for Danylo with hope in the yard near the affected house. Mom kept in touch with her son all this time.

“I was in the subway when the explosions rang out, I was going to work, and the children were with their sister. They are not injured, but they are very scared. The apartment is broken, there is a lot of smoke.” – said the woman.

“Ukrainian Pravda. Life” turned to the State Emergency Service for a detailed comment on the situation and is awaiting a response.

We will remind you that on February 7, Russia carried out another massive attack on Ukraine using 64 missiles of various types and kamikaze drones.

According to the latest data, four residents of one of the high-rise buildings in Kyiv died, and another 38 residents were injured.
