89% of young people see a bright future in Ukraine, 65% do not want to move. Poll

Sociologists found that 89% surveyed young people aged 16-35 living in Ukraine see the future of Ukraine as promising.
At the same time, among young people of the same age who moved to Poland, this indicator is 81%.
Among teenagers aged 13-15 living in Ukraine, they see a promising future 96% survey participants, and among emigrants to Poland – 87%.
The International Republican Institute published a relevant study conducted by the Rating Sociological Group and the InfoSapiens company.
Young people living in Ukraine and Poland took part in the survey.
Young people living in Ukraine and Poland are almost equally convinced of Ukraine’s victory in the war – 98% and 97% in accordance.

Respondents also want to participate in reconstruction processes. 79% of youth in Ukraine would like to be involved in activities aimed at reconstruction, and only 19% do not want this.
Also, 83% of people aged 16-35 living in Poland would like to participate in reconstruction.
65% of youth aged 16-35 living in Ukraine would not like to move to another place.

The main reasons why young people do not want to change their place of residence are satisfaction with their current place of residence (44%), family and friends (40%), sufficient financial support for life (20%), patriotism (15%).
Among Ukrainian youth currently living in Poland, 61% of youth aged 16-35 have not been to Ukraine after moving to Poland.
47% intend to return to Ukraine after the end of the war, 19% plan to return soon, and 11% – after some time. 15% of young people do not plan to return at all.

The survey was conducted in Poland by the Sociological group “Rating” in June-July, and in Ukraine by the company Info Sapiens on the order of the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the Council for International Scientific Research and Exchange (IREX).
The survey data were analyzed by the Center for Analysis and Sociological Research (CISR) of the International Republican Institute.
When conducting the survey, the Rating Group and Info Sapiens adhered to national and international standards of research ethics.
The Ukrainian sample consists of 1,417 people aged 16-35, 502 children aged 10-12 and 525 children aged 13-15. These samples are representative of the population of Ukraine of the corresponding age.
The “Polish” sample consists of 100 respondents aged 10-12, 100 respondents aged 13-15 and 300 respondents aged 16-35.
