To make rehabilitation assistance more accessible, new service packages were added to the Medical Guarantee Program. They provide rehabilitation treatment for adults and children in inpatient and outpatient settings. This is reported by the Ministry of Health. Two packages were added to the Program: “Rehabilitation care for adults and children in inpatient conditions” and “Rehabilitation care for adults and children in outpatient conditions.” Photo: [email protected]/Depositphotos These services for patients are free of charge in medical facilities that have signed a contract with the National Health Service. In 2023, they operate in 396 health care facilities, namely: 244 medical facilities under a package of inpatient rehabilitation care; 386 medical institutions with a package of rehabilitation care in outpatient settings. The requirements for providing assistance in the acute rehabilitation period have also been improved. “When a person has a stroke, he begins to receive rehabilitation within the priority package of medical care in the event of a stroke, which also includes a rehabilitation component,” the Ministry of Health explains.
