In France, the director of the Paris Institute for Political Studies (Sciences Po), Mathias Vischerat, who was previously accused of domestic violence, was dismissed.

During the conversation with the law enforcement officers, he denied the charges, reports The Guardian.

Mathias Wisherath, 45, said he would leave his post for a period of time after students at the Institute staged a sit-in protest demanding his resignation.

The official added that the term of dismissal will be determined by the management.

In a letter to the university’s management, Wisherath said he agreed to resign temporarily after agreeing on its terms, schedule and duration.

The man also denied acts of violence.

“I have never and under no circumstances committed such actions. I would like to emphasize that until the end of our stay in police custody, no one filed a single complaint, no legal restrictions were issued.”he added.
