The Shevchenkiv District Court of Lviv fined a woman who committed physical and psychological violence against her husband 340 hryvnias.

The court ruling states that the woman insulted her husband’s dignity and hit him on the head. The event happened on January 16 around 12:00, writes ZAXID.NET.

The police drew up an administrative protocol against her, classifying these actions under Part 1 of Article 173-2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The woman did not appear before the court, although she was duly informed about the date, time and place of the hearing.

“From the woman’s written explanations contained in the case file, it can be seen that she admits her guilt in the offense committed and asks the court not to punish her severely.” – stated in the verdict.

The court found the defendant guilty of domestic violence against her husband. In addition to the fine in his favor, 605 hryvnias of court fees were also collected from her.

The decision can still be appealed.

We will remind you that last year, Ukrainians reported domestic violence to the law enforcement officers more often than in 2022.
