A 5-year-old boy who fell into a coma after having his teeth removed died in Lviv

A 5-year-old boy, Veles, died in Lviv. He had been in a coma for more than a month after having his milk teeth removed in one of the city’s clinics.
“Rest in peace, our beloved Lesjuno!” – wrote his father Viktor Pashnyk.
As the husband said, on December 8, 2023, the wife took her son to the local Ori-Dent clinic to remove the child’s two milk teeth.
Dentists offered to perform the operation under general anesthesia.

“Everything was wrong from the very beginning, my son was crying a lot, he didn’t want to put on the anesthetic mask.
Some time after the start of the operation, the wife heard a commotion in the operating room, medical workers began to rush there, after about 20 minutes, two emergency teams arrived.” Viktor said.
Later, the director of the clinic reported that the child’s heart stopped during the operation, but the doctors managed to restart it.
Later, doctors diagnosed the boy with brain death.
The parents – bandurist Viktor Pashnyk and his wife Marianna Vakhniak – blame the dental clinic for the death of their son.
On December 17, investigators began criminal proceedings under part 2 of the article on improper performance of professional duties by a medical or pharmaceutical worker (Article 140 of the Criminal Code).
“The investigation is ongoing”– said the spokeswoman of the police of the Lviv region in a comment “UP Life“ January 14.
Earlier, we reported that 6-year-old Solomiya was discharged from the hospital after receiving a heart transplant from another child.
