A 50-year-old woman died in the Rivne region during a visit to a private dental clinic.

Her teeth were treated with the use of painkillers, the police of the Rivne region reported.

In the evening of January 19, medics contacted the law enforcement officers and reported that a local resident of the village of Zdovbytsia had died in the dental chair.

“After the introduction of sedatives, the woman stopped breathing: doctors tried to carry out resuscitation measures, but she died.” – the police report.

The law enforcement officers opened a case on the fact of improper performance of professional duties by a medical worker (Part 1 of Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It is noted that as part of the criminal proceedings, a number of examinations have been ordered, including a forensic examination, which will establish the cause of the woman’s death.

In the comment UP Life” spokeswoman for the police of the Rivne region Maria Yustytska specified that the doctors of the dental clinic tried to resuscitate the woman.

“Currently, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted. If the guilt of a certain doctor is established and proven, he will be notified of the suspicion. After that, the case materials will be sent to the court.”the spokeswoman added.

Earlier we reported that a 5-year-old boy died in Lviv, who fell into a coma after having his teeth removed. He was operated on under general anesthesia.
