77-year-old Lviv woman Khrystyna Hoyanyuk became the Ukrainian record holder for the largest number of written annual radio dictations of national unity.

She has been writing them for 23 years in a row and has not missed a single one since 2000, reports the National Register of Records of Ukraine.

“The incredible Ms. Khrystyna Hoyanyuk! She says that she doesn’t even look forward to her birthday like the radio dictator of national unity. Her texts are among the best in the country in terms of literacy.”– they say in the register.

In 2020, Ms. Hojaniuk was the only participant who wrote a radio dictation without a single mistake. She also won in 2022.

“You must have thought: “Well, of course, she is a Ukrainian language teacher!” No, Khrystyna Hoyanyuk is a doctor-bacteriologist.

She prepares for dictations as if for the defense of her doctoral dissertation: she rereads the new spelling rules, reviews dictionaries, consults with Ukrainian language teachers.”– added in the register.

We will remind you that this year’s radio dictation of national unity, which was written on October 27, was called “Roads of Ukraine”.

The text was written by the poet Kateryna Kalytko, and read by the actor who played the role of Ivan Dovbush in the popular film of the same name, Oleksiy Hnatkovskyi.
