On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the United States government’s Art in Embassies program, the exhibition “Beast of War. Bird of Hope” by Ukrainian artists opened at the Kennedy Center in Washington. Among the presented works of art are two works by Maria Prymachenko, which gave the name to the exhibition: “Beast of War” and “Bird of Hope”. The exhibition also features 25 works by modern Ukrainian artists, created already during the full-scale military invasion of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine. The exhibition became part of the Art and Ideals art presentation. The Ukrainian part of the program was organized by Aspen Institute. Some works from the Ukrainian part of the exhibition The curator of the Ukrainian part of the exhibition is Alisa Lozhkina. Alisa Lozhkina and the most expensive artist of the USA, Jeff Koons, were visited by Ms. Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, former Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Natalya Yaresko, and others. The Ukrainian part of the exhibition presents both paintings and photos. The exhibition will be available for viewing until February 5. Performance by Oksana Markarova Also at this time, an excerpt from the ballet “Swan Lake” performed by Ukrainian ballerina Svitlana Onipko will be presented at the Kennedy Center.
