Radiation and chemotherapy, including consumables and medical support, are free. If the patient needs surgery, it is also free of charge and covered by the package “Surgeries for adults and children in hospital conditions”. Free care includes anesthesia, all consumables and examination. Last year, more than 81,500 people received chemotherapy treatment under the Medical Guarantee Program, and 31,000 people received radiological treatment. Patients with hematological and oncological hematological diseases also have the right to treatment by the method of efferent therapy or with the use of apheresis of blood cells, transfusion support, intensive therapy, oxygen support and analgesia. In 2022, more than 23,000 patients received treatment for hematological and oncohematological diseases under the Medical Guarantee Program. Medicines Patients with oncology are provided with medicines in several directions, including expensive ones, which are centrally purchased by the state. Support, rehabilitation and palliative care When a patient with oncology achieves remission, his support is also free under the Medical Guarantee Program. The doctor can refer the patient to rehabilitation in an outpatient or inpatient setting. If a patient needs palliative care, he can receive it under a package of inpatient or mobile palliative care upon referral by a doctor. “Health is not something that can be postponed for later.
