The pseudo-volunteer deceived the soldiers by presenting himself as an employee of the “Tyho” charitable foundation.
The swindler took money from front-line fighters for a car, but disappeared 3 months ago, according to the charity fund.
The founder of the fund, Andriy Lyman, said that the scammer’s name was Andriy. The last activity of the accounts of the pseudo-volunteer was in Yavorov, Lviv region.
“Neither I nor any of my volunteers are familiar with the soldiers of the 54th brigade. The employees of the Security Service who were contacted are our good friends. We were informed that the face of that scammer did not match any of our volunteers“, says the founder of the charitable foundation.
Andrii Lyman also stated that all volunteer certificates will be replaced. The process of canceling old documents has already started.
The new ones will necessarily contain an NFC chip, which will contain comprehensive information about the volunteer’s activities.
“All volunteer certificates issued to date, which have not been extended by an additional agreement between the foundation and the volunteer, are considered invalid“, says the founder of the fund.
Currently, the fund is also collecting money for a thermal imaging sight for the 5th brigade of the 3rd battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine. The fighters are literally 50 meters from the Russians and need help.
