In Kyiv, the list of shelters for people with visual impairments has been adapted.
As noted on the capital’s official portal, the table with a list of addresses can be viewed by following the link.
This format will allow people with complete vision loss to find the nearest protective structure with the help of special programs.
Previously, we talked about how to help blind people on the street or in a shelter.

If you are near someone who is visually impaired, the Ministry of Health advises you to touch their shoulder or elbow and offer help.
If your proposal is accepted, then when you accompany a person with visual impairments, describe the obstacle on his way (“attention, steps” or “now there will be a curb”).
It is advisable for a person to be in the closest or most convenient place to the exit – this will speed up his evacuation, the Ministry of Health notes.
