A man who raped a 12-year-old girl twice was convicted in Poltava Oblast
In the Poltava region, a man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the rape of a minor girl. At the time of the crime, the victim was 12 years old.
This is reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutors proved in court that the man communicated with the girl through social networks, and later offered an intimate relationship. The perpetrator lived with the child next door in the Myrhorod district.
In the summer of 2023, a man raped a child twice in places designated for “meetings”.

As told “UP. Life” in the prosecutor’s office of the Poltava region, the man knew that the girl was a minor. At the time of the crime, he was under 30 years old.
“There were two meetings, he raped the child twice. The minor’s parents found out about the crime, her mother contacted the police. The man is currently in custody“, said the spokeswoman of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Poltava Region Lyudmila Ivashchuk.
The court found the man guilty of the crime committed under parts 4 and 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (rape committed against a person under the age of 14 and rape committed repeatedly).
The convict fully admitted his guilt.
The verdict can be challenged in an appeal
