A record for the warmest minimum air temperature was registered in the capital on February 4. It rose to +4.6°С.

The Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky writes about this.

According to the observations of the weather station, the minimum air temperature exceeded the record of 1936 by 2.1°С.

This is not the first temperature record set in the capital this winter. So, on December 19, 2023, the minimum air temperature reached a record mark of +4.1°С.

And the next day, December 20, the temperature in Kyiv broke the record set 40 years ago and reached +10.6°С.

On December 26, the city again set a temperature record: the average daily air temperature was +5.9 °С. This is 0.1 degrees higher than in 2015.

In total, the observatory managed to register 42 temperature records last year.
