An elderly man who molested a minor girl for almost 7 years will be tried in Rivne.
The prosecutors of the Rivne district prosecutor’s office sent an indictment against the man to the court.
He is charged with “perpetrating lewd acts against a minor” and “keeping child pornography without the purpose of sale,” the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
The investigation established that an adult man molested a minor girl for almost 7 years.
According to the police, the offender began to molest the child when he was 55 years old, and the girl was only 9.
“He lured the child to his home and to work while still living in the Radyvyliv district, and continued the molestation already in Rivne, when he and the victim moved to the regional center.
The child did not tell the parents anything, because given his age, he could not be aware of all the consequences of illegal actions on the part of the accused.” – say the prosecutor’s office.

Also, during a search of the man’s home in February of this year, law enforcement officers found child pornography, which the man kept for personal use.
He faces up to 15 years in prison.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the RUP GUNP in the Rivne region, under the procedural guidance of the juvenile prosecutors of the Rivne district prosecutor’s office.

And in Kamianets-Podilskyi, a man will be tried for the rape of a girl after the child herself turned to the police.
