People’s deputy Andriy Odarchenko, who was exposed for bribery, is the head of the Academic Council of the Kharkiv State Biotechnology University.

Acting rector of the university Andriy Kudryashov confirmed the post of People’s Deputy to Gvara Media journalists.

“Of course, he is a very effective person and does a lot for the university. I believe that this is not even discussed.”– said Kudryashov when asked about the expediency of the people’s deputy’s work at the university.

The attempt of the people’s deputy to bribe Mustafa Nayim in order to restore the university damaged by Russian missiles at the higher education institution refused to comment, the media added.

We will remind you that on November 21, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office exposed Andriy Odarchenko in an attempt to bribe Mustafa Nayem, the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure.

According to the investigation, the suspect gave the top official a part of the bribe in the amount of 0.39 bitcoins, which was equivalent to 10 thousand dollars.

On November 22, the High Anti-Corruption Court arrested Andrii Odarchenko for two months.

Later, the leader of the “Servant of the People” party, Olena Shulyak, reported that the disciplinary commission expelled Andrii Odarchenko from the party membership.
