A Serbian actor who supports Russia will appear in a series from HBO

Serbian actor Milosh Bykovych, which supports the Russian attack on Ukraine, will be filmed in the new season of the American series “White Lotus”. Filming is scheduled for February 2024.

After the official announcement from HBO, Bykovych closed his Instagram profile, because users began to criticize his position regarding Ukraine and called on the streaming company to pay attention to his statements.
Milosh Bykovych gained popularity in Russia thanks to his participation in the series “Hotel Eleon”, “Grand” and “Wings of the Empire”, he also played the main role in the film “Holop”. He repeatedly starred in the films of director-propagandist Nikita Mikhalkov.
In one of the last interviews, Milosh Bykovich answered the interviewer’s question whether Serbs really love Russia more than Russians:
“It is so. We were one people. We spoke almost the same language 200-300 years ago. You don’t feel nostalgic until you lose something. And there is a certain deep nostalgia in the blood of the Serbian people [за Росією – прим.]. In 1925, every fifth resident of Belgrade was a Russian“, the actor said.
He also added that democracy never existed. He repeatedly supported Russian narratives in other interviews. For example, about a full-scale invasion, he said that allegedly “Russia is moving in its own way, and the world perceives it as a hostile process“.

“White Lotus” is an American satirical comedy-drama anthology television series created and directed by Mike White.
Each season tells about tourists who come to rest at the resorts. Every day, the story becomes darker, and the characters discover their hidden, dark sides.

On the film review platform Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a 92% approval rating based on reviews from critics. On Metacritic, it holds a score of 82 out of 100 based on 79 reviews, indicating “universal acclaim”.
