On the border with Hungary, two men were detained who tried to leave the country with forged documents – one pretended to be a father of many children, and the other – unfit for service.

This was reported in the Western Regional Office of the State Border Service of Ukraine-Western Border.

According to the border guards, one violator went by car through the Tisa checkpoint, the other by train through the Chop (Druzhba) checkpoint.

A 27-year-old native of Transcarpathia, who was driving a minibus, presented three birth certificates at the border.

During the inspection, the inspectors found that one of them was fake.

“When the man realized that his deception was exposed, he admitted that he had purchased the document through the Internet for 2,000 US dollars,” the border guards reported.

Another violator, a 31-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk, wanted to cross the border on the basis of a temporary conscript certificate and a VLK certificate of unfitness for military service.

These documents also turned out to be fakes, the administration notes.

Both men were detained for the purpose of prosecution for attempting to illegally cross the state border.

A notification was sent to the National Police about the detection of signs of a criminal offense due to the fact of forging documents (Article 358 of the Criminal Code).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of freedom for a period of up to 2 years.

We previously reported that a 43-year-old man pretended to be a father of many children in order to leave for Poland.
