A university hospital will be created in Lviv on the basis of the Lviv Railway Clinical Hospital. The property of the medical institution was transferred to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Health.
The relevant decision was taken by the government, the ministry reported.
“University Hospital of Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytskyi will be able to ensure a high level of practical training of students and interns, improvement of skills of doctors, nurses and other specialists…
The university hospital will become a platform for the introduction of modern diagnostic and treatment technologies and the attraction of the best, including highly specialized specialists.” – said Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.

It is planned that the university hospital will receive funding for the medical services provided under the medical guarantee program.
“The creation of powerful university hospitals is a key step towards the current and post-war reconstruction, improving the quality of medical education and medical care in Ukraine”, – say the Ministry of Health.
The department claims that the network of such institutions will contribute to the attraction of investments in the development of medical infrastructure, increasing the prestige of the work of doctors.
We will remind you that earlier it became known that a network of rehabilitation centers for military personnel will be created in Ukraine by the Ministry of Defense.
