A small Christmas tree decorated with toys and a garland appeared in Donetsk near Bakhmut.
Volunteer Yevhen Tkachev set up a Christmas tree 6 kilometers from Bakhmut and posted a video on Facebook. “The holiday is coming,” Yevhen said.
“Maybe some people won’t like my post today about playing Santa. But I believe that a small reminder of Christmas will cheer up and give hope to many who will drive past it a few kilometers from the front, going to the “0” near Bakhmut .
Unfortunately, for some of them it will be the last time. So let them see a Christmas tree rather than a landscape distorted by the Russians”the volunteer wrote.
Ground troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine called the tree “the main Christmas tree of the country.”
Some other military also liked this symbol.
“The main Christmas tree of the country decorates your New Year – 6 km Bakhmut”– Roman Docent signed the photo.
