A young couple died as a result of a rocket attack on the village of Groza in Kharkiv Oblast – Denis and Nina Kozyr.
It is currently known that the cafe said goodbye to the fallen Hero Andrii Kozyre. He died in 2022 and was buried in the Dnipro. His son Denys organized these memorial services. Together with their father, they returned from Poland at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Lviv. After the Military Commissariat, Dad was transferred to Popasna, where he was mortally wounded.
The son served until June. Then he moved to Groza and married 20-year-old Nina, who worked as a laboratory technician at the Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy. She also died from the impact.

“I thank fate that these almost 4 years, I studied, sat at the same desk, in the same choir with you. I opened up the world of volunteering for her, she made me fall in love with her folk singing, especially the song “Polyubila Petrusya”. We we wondered together, maybe once we cried, we must have laughed a loth.
I could and can write about this bright and kind person forever… But I want to say one thing – Nina was a blood donor, so she will continue to live not only in our hearts, but also in others.”– writes her friend Kateryna Litvin.

Nina is survived by her younger sister Alina. Kateryna asks to help her if possible.
In addition to Denis and Nina, grandfather, grandmother and wife’s mother died.
Another local resident of Groza, Oleksandr Mukhovaty, was affected by the tragedy. In a comment to Suspilne, he said that he also lost three family members at once: his brother, sister-in-law, and mother. He was at home when the events took place.
Seeing the plume of smoke after the explosion, he began to gather relatives. But no one picked up the phone, except for the nephew, who announced that everyone was under rubble.
I came right away. The brother has been found, but the mother and daughter-in-law have not yet been found. They were definitely there. I took my brother’s passport out of his pants. I still don’t understand what happened and how everything will be. I still can’t believe it, I still can’t believe it – says the man.

He also added that only the lower body of his brother remained.
We will remind you that on October 5, the occupiers launched a rocket attack on the village of Groza in the Kharkiv region. As a result, 52 people died. Among them is an 8-year-old child. In the village, rescuers will continue to search and deal with the consequences with volunteers. On October 6, other body fragments were found.
It is known that the rocket hit a local store. Next to him in the cafe, local residents said goodbye to the fallen soldier. According to the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, 330 residents lived in the village of Groza at the wake. At least one member of each family in the village was present at the memorial dinner. The minister added that there is a suspicion that the blow was caused by one of the local residents.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Dmytro Chubenko, said that the Russians could have thought about the presence of the military at the wake. At the same time, it has already been confirmed that only civilians were in the cafe.
