He especially liked that his new acquaintance liked dark humor. “On February 27, 2022, after the start of the war, Spartak told me that he serves in the Teroboron, and is also a member of the secret organization LLC “SBU”, and that he used to be in the ATO. I had a feeling of pride for my comrade and a feeling of guilt for the fact that I’m not there,” says the comedian. For some time, Spartak was in the west of Ukraine, and then he returned to Kyiv. It was then that the men decided to do a joint project called “Podcast Therapy”. “We became very close. Spartak told me about his mother’s apartment in Irpen, in which documents were burned, about his ex-wife and his difficult childhood,” Yanovych recalls. The joint project of Evgeny and Spartak was successful. “We raised a lot of important topics during the war. Our audience grew, we started holding offline meetings, sold out, received thousands of messages from viewers who wrote that our project helped them keep the cuckoo. And also that after our podcasts they decided to leave to psychologists. In addition, we gave 20% of the profits to the Armed Forces. I felt almost omnipotent,” the actor recalls. At the same time, the posts of psychologist Artem Osypyan appeared on the network, in which it was said that “not everything is so clear-cut” with Spartak Subbota. However, Yevhen Yanovych did not believe, supported his friend and even wanted to stand up for him. However, Spartacus himself asked Eugene not to do this. Janovych continued to admire his friend, who was published in foreign media, claimed that he began to get a higher education at the age of 15 and even that he was a Freemason. Evgeny Yanovych says that in January 2023, Spartak’s assistant informed him that a launch was being prepared for Saturday. Yanovych recorded a podcast to support a friend. In 2 months, Spartak informed him that “some political forces offered him cooperation and promised 200,000 dollars”, but he refused. And then there was a loud investigation, which Yanovych did not believe at first, because he was warned about “dumping”. He hoped that a meeting with a friend would bring answers to all questions. “At the long-awaited meeting, Spartak said that he was sorry for me and my mother. And also that he would sue. My friend decided that it was not my business, but the court’s. I thought that he would at least show me the birth certificate. Instead, he began to talk about how he would protect his audience and the stories about Jesus. This is where I broke down,” says Yevhen Yanovych. According to Eugene, now he will not cooperate with Spartak Subbota, even if he wins the trial, because he learned a lot of pathological lies. The actor says that after everything he was forced to close the joint project. He also addressed the audience who are outraged and saddened by the closure. “Remember, you are the most important person in your life. There are things we can influence, and there are things we cannot. Have the wisdom to distinguish the first from the second,” said Yevhen Yanovych.
