American teachers who worked for OnlyFans: they were fired

In one of the rural schools in the state of Missouri, two English teachers were fired for posting erotic content on the website OnlyFans.
As the Associated Press reports, workers in low-wage professions who want to earn extra money (sometimes a lot) and keep their main job often anonymously publish their intimate photos and videos on such sites.
Despite keeping their actions under wraps this fall, two teachers at St. Clair High School, southwest of St. Louis, 28-year-old Brianna Coppage and 31-year-old Megan Gaither, could not avoid being fired.

Links to women’s accounts on OnlyFans were posted in the community on Facebook. Both had pseudonyms and did not show their faces.
“I don’t regret joining OnlyFans. I don’t think sex work should be shameful.” Brianna Coppage told local media. Megan Gaither explained that she used the site to pay off her student loans.
Parents expressed concern about the actions of the teachers.
“We don’t think it’s okay for kids to see their teachers having sex. It’s outrageous. We shouldn’t give kids a reason to fantasize about their teachers.” said Kurt Moritz, the father of a 7-year-old boy who attends this school.
In January 2023, American woman Victoria Trice sued Orange County Public Schools, claiming she was barred from volunteering at her son’s Florida elementary school because she posted content on OnlyFans.
“If we paid our teachers the same as we pay athletes, maybe they wouldn’t have to sign up for OnlyFans”– lawyer Mark Nicholson commented on the cases.
