In the City Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital for Mothers and Children named after M. F. Rudnev, patients had a severe adverse reaction to medical drugs that were used during surgical interventions. An 11-year-old child died after the operation, and 10 other people developed postoperative complications. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine was informed about the emergency situation. Investigations are ongoing at the hospital. The relevant commission and law enforcement officers are working,” the Ministry of Health wrote. Injured patients were transferred to other medical facilities. There they are provided with the necessary assistance. Currently, 11 victims are known, of which 5 are adults and 6 are children: aged from 3 to 17 years. All of them were administered the same drug. Unfortunately, one child could not be saved. The night before, an 11-year-old boy died. The Dnipro police have already opened criminal proceedings on the fact of improper performance of professional duties by medical workers. “Currently, investigators have searched the premises of the hospital and seized medical documentation and other physical evidence. Based on this fact, the investigators of police department No. 6 of the Dnipro RUP have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 140 (improper performance of professional duties by a medical or pharmaceutical worker) of the Criminal Code of the Code of Ukraine.
