On June 29, Russia launched a missile attack on Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, and hit a pizzeria in the center of the city. 12 civilians died, 65 people were injured. One of the victims is 8-month-old Mia with her mother. A video with a bloodied girl went viral on social networks. “UP. Life” spoke with the child’s mother, Yaryna Nosach. She shared her memories of that tragic day and talked about her daughter’s well-being. “My husband and I went to the pizzeria for just a few minutes to take food with us. I was holding her in my arms, I was just about to feed her. The arrival was very unexpected, the husband covered us with his daughter,” the victim recalls. She adds that she and her daughter had to climb over the rubble to save her. Her husband was gathering things and documents at that moment. “Then a stranger came up to us, took the child from my hands and helped carry her outside. I climbed through some glass. When I managed to get out, we met a volunteer neighbor who took us to the hospital,” says Yaryna Nosach. The woman recalls that Mia was immediately taken to intensive care there. The girl’s mother also suffered a head injury and was sent to trauma for stitches. Mother Yaryna Nosach with her daughter Mia. Doctors promise to discharge them in the near future and refer them to a neurologist and psychologist for rehabilitation. Yaryna Nosach thanks everyone who participated in the fundraising for Mia’s operation, because in a few days it was possible to collect all the necessary amount. Mia after surgery.
