In Lviv, doctors removed a coniferous twig from the bronchi of 8-year-old Lyubomir, which had been the cause of the child’s severe symptoms for a year and a half.

According to the Lviv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital “Okhmatdyt”, in the summer of 2022, the boy’s back started to hurt and the temperature rose.

A local doctor referred Lyubomir to one of Lviv’s hospitals. There he was diagnosed with right-sided pneumonia. He was treated with antibiotics and discharged home. But later the symptoms recurred.

According to medics, the boy’s mother sounded the alarm when he started coughing up blood.

The disease constantly recurred

The disease constantly recurred. She was even more frightened by the constant bleeding when the child coughed.

After the final discharge from the hospital, we were told that it was tuberculosis pneumonia. We passed all possible tests, did all the examinations, but no one could establish the cause“, says the woman.

In “Okhmatdyta”, doctors performed a bronchoscopy on Lyubomirov, during which they discovered a foreign body in the bronchi a small coniferous twig. She was the cause of all the symptoms.

Surgeons successfully removed the branch, and the child was already discharged home.

It will be recalled that in Lviv, doctors fought for a year to save the leg of a 13-year-old boy from amputation after a road accident. Foreign doctors assured that he will not be able to walk and the only way out is amputation of the foot.
