In 2012, he became a People’s Deputy in the Verkhovna Rada from the Batkivshchyna party, and in 2014 he headed the Sumy Regional State Administration for several months.

Volodymyr Shulga is a doctor of historical sciences, from 2015 to 2018 he was vice-rector of the National Aviation University. From 2019 to October 2023 — vice-rector of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

We will remind you that on October 13, the government decided to reorganize the National Aviation University. It was talked about since September 2023, because the university had a number of problems.

In particular, the management of the university is accused of the fact that since the beginning of the great war, the university has not been able to develop a single UAV.

Instead, the current rector Maksym Lutskyi “reacted” to the reorganization in his own way and announced that he would go to serve in the Armed Forces.

The university called the reorganization “the destruction of the 90-year history and assets” of the NAU.

The management of the university also stated that it wants to transfer the Flight Academy to the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force. However, the MES stated that this is impossible without a corresponding government decision.
