The head of the National Health Service of Ukraine, Nataliya Husak, was informed of suspicion of official negligence, which caused losses of UAH 2 million.
This was reported in the General Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in April 2022, by order of the National Health Service, one of the specialized state enterprises carried out work on the administration of the central database of the electronic health care system.
The law enforcement officers say that the act of delivery and acceptance of services included all works according to the contract and information about a certain amount of work that was not actually performed.

“The head of the NSZU did not properly check the actually performed works and did not take measures to reduce the total amount of the contract. As a result, budget funds in the amount of more than UAH 2 million were unnecessarily spent to pay for services that were not provided.” – it is stated in the message of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The head of the NSSU was searched at work and at home, and documents and other physical evidence were seized.

Currently, the question of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
Nataliya Husak, head of the NSZU, commented on the searches and accusations of law enforcement officers.
“I have nothing to hide, so I consider it necessary to openly express my position. I am personally interested in ensuring the honesty and objectivity of the process.” – writes the head of NSZU.
Husak noted that since she became the head of the NSZU, she has been constantly faced with inspections by supervisory and law enforcement agencies.
“I’ll be frank: often – baseless and initiated by those whom NSZU “interferes“, – she claims.
The head of the NSZU said that “by a strange coincidence” the searches took place on the day when the unscheduled monitoring of the first medical facilities providing neonatal care began.
“I would like to remind you that we conduct monitoring in accordance with the updated procedure recently approved by the Government of Ukraine. Also, at a time when active preparations are underway for the contracting of medical institutions for the next year. Such is the coincidence.” – says Goose.
She also noted that, in compliance with current legislation and the secrecy of the investigation, she has no right to divulge any details yet.
In the official statement of NSZU, the searches were considered as pressure with the aim of blocking the work of the service.
The department noted that they are working as usual.
We will remind you that NSHU concludes contracts with medical institutions, in particular, for the purchase of medicines, the work of doctors, etc. Treatment must be free of charge for patients under the Medical Guarantee Program in hospitals that have a contract with the National Health Service. The structure also has the right to check the use of funds, and in case of violations, it can terminate the contract with the institution.
