On February 27, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 (on the Richter scale) occurred in Transcarpathia at a depth of 2 km. The phenomenon was recorded at 03:15:39 Kyiv time, according to the Main Center of Special Control. The earthquake occurred in the area of the village of Velika Dobron, 19 km west of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region. “According to the calculations, the earthquake does not pose a threat to the population, according to the classification it belongs to strongly felt, the earthquake is felt by many people inside the building, by few in the open air,” – said the special control center. In cars standing still, the jolt is noticeable. The last earthquake, which was felt in more than 15 settlements of Transcarpathia, was registered from the Irshava region on January 3, 2023.
