Ukrposhta has opened pre-orders for the block of “And there will be spring” stamps dedicated to the 2nd anniversary of the full-scale invasion and the 10th anniversary of the war in Ukraine.

This was reported by the general director Ihor Smilyanskyi.

Friends, this week is special in the history of Ukraine – 10 years since the beginning of the war and 2 years since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

It was really difficult to find an artistic image that would convey exactly the feelings felt by millions of Ukrainians. Because now it’s hard, but you have to hold on. And that is why we chose the theme “And there will be spring” for the stamp dedicated to these dates, because it, like our victory, will definitely be“, he said.

Each stamp is a separate photo, Ukrposhta explained.

The block will consist of 4 photos that remind of 10 years of resistance to the Russian invaders.

This is a memorable photo of the war that the Russian Federation started in 2014 with the occupation of Crimea. The author of the photo is Polish photographer Kuba Kaminski/PAP, who miraculously managed to hide the image from the Russians. Thanks to this, the whole world saw this picture.

The photo took first place in the Grand Press Photo 2014 contest

The legendary self-portrait of the defender Dmytro “Orest” Kozatsky, which the soldier took in May 2022 during the heroic defense of the Mariupol “fortress” – the “Azovstal” plant. This picture has already won a number of awards.

“Light will win!” and “Love can’t be stopped!” made it to the list of the best pictures of 2022 according to The Guardian.

Photographer Maksym Dondyuk took a picture of the hands of an infantryman with the call sign “Snowball”. The position was located a few hundred meters from enemy trenches on the outskirts of Bakhmut in March 2023.

This photo was included in Time magazine’s collection of the best photos of 2023.

On February 23, this block of stamps will officially go on sale, and until then the reorder is valid. The circulation of the block is 250,000 copies

“And may this spring bring us all more positive news”– added Smilyanskyi.

We will remind you that Ukrposhta recently presented a stamp dedicated to the work of postmen, railway workers and the armed forces.
