“Our good friend Frank Rubio, who has already returned home, has been accused for a long time of simply eating his tomato. But now we can vindicate him. We found the tomato.” – said NASA astronaut Jasmine Mogbeli.

For the first time, Rubio spoke about the missing tomato in September 2023. Then he said that he had been looking for a tomato for several hours and was sure that the vegetable would be found and then everyone would understand that he did not eat it.
A dwarf Red Robin tomato, 2.5 centimeters in diameter, was part of the final crop for the Veg-05 experiment. Frank Rubio looked after his course.
It will be recalled that the Russian space truck, which was returning from the ISS, burned up in the Earth’s atmosphere.
