“At first you want to fuck, and when you get bored – to suppress”: Arestovych got into a scandal due to sexist statements

Oleksiy Arestovych, a former adviser to the President’s Office, promotes sexism and expresses violent opinions in his closed “psychological seminars”.
Journalists Yana Brenzei and Emma Antonyuk published a video with clippings from two of Arestovych’s paid seminars on their YouTube channel “Palaye”.
There he calls women “creatures” and talks about the desire to “strangle” them. At the same time, he considers men to be “gods” and “idols” that should be glorified.

Sexism in statements
During the seminar, Arestovych establishes a clear hierarchy between women and men.
“A woman, as one of my acquaintances said, should look at her husband like an idol. And periodically smear his lips with her sacrificial blood.” he says.
Arestovych says that women are “unbalanced”, and any dispute with them can be resolved materially.
“The moment a woman screams at you, scratches you, tries to drink all the juices, make you guilty and says: “Say something, you bastard!” What should you do? There are several options – move away, throw the wallet, say “Go buy yourself whatever you want.” Option two is to hug her in silence. And option three is to hug and f*** you.” – he declares.
Normalization of violence against women
Arestovich says that, in his opinion, all men want to strangle a woman.
“Boys, as long as the girls don’t hear us, and we can talk to you normally and frankly. So tell me, what do you want to do with these creatures? Suppress! And strangle, without letting go. At first, of course, you want to fuck, but when get bored, or are used to it, or have had enough, then you want to suppress the shit, so that it will never be. And after that, do not open your fingers for three years, until you are guaranteed to suffocate. With their whining, with anxiety, with attempts to control, castrate, don’t let anywhere” – he emphasizes.
And then he adds that despite the criminal liability, it is a “long-lasting pleasure.”
Society’s reaction
In the comments under the video, viewers were shocked by the words of Oleksiy Arestovich.
“After such words, the police and SBU should be involved. A person broadcasts a call to violence to millions, what a horror.” – said user Juliya Vodolaskaya.
“In my opinion, these kinds of seminars, courses, and books are how men like Arestovych cling to the idea of total power and cave patriarchy. Literally the last convulsions of this worldview, women shout in all ears what are you, if you are independent and not if you serve a man, then you serve the devil. Arestovych is right, a new phase of humanity’s life has come, but he has not entered it.” Olesya Koshkina wrote in the comments.
Blogger Zhdanya criticized Arestovich’s words in her TikTok video, urging people to spread this information.
“It’s a pity that he speaks like that only at his closed seminars. And he does it in Ukraine. You see? In Ukraine, you can say that about a huge part of society, call for violence against women, and you won’t be punished for it. In any to another developed state, he would already be responsible for his words.” – she responded.

“A woman is a decoration. A woman is a function: sex, cooking, cleaning. A woman is a piece of meat that does not have the right to open her mouth once more. Arestovych’s words are a reflection of the realities of SUCH attitude towards women. We have to spread it, speak out, bring to justice”, – wrote in X (Twitter) a user with the nickname “Ariadna’s thread”.
This is not the first scandal that Oleksiy Arestovich has been involved in because of his statements.
In particular, on June 19, 2022, he stated that he treats the LGBT community as people with deviations.
“I have said many times and I will not hide it: I treat LGBT people as deviant people, that is, with deviations from the norms of behavior. I am a conservative in this sense. Another thing is that I am definitely against their persecution.” – said Arestovych on the air of his own “psychological school”.
And the next day, June 20, 2022, the former official criticized public activists. He noted that they spoil everything they touch – culture, literature, music, e-sports, innovation, etc.
“I don’t know what Ukrainian sex is like (I haven’t been there for a long time), but let me guess – does the world want it as much as possible, or have our activists already appeared there?” – he wrote on Facebook.
