Kharkiv marmot Timko III “visited” that spring in 2023 will come in the middle of March. According to the “forecast” of the marmot, the warming will come in 6 weeks, reports “Suspilne. Kharkiv”. In Ukraine, the marmot suffers from poaching, so in 2021 it was recognized as an endangered species and entered into the Red Book of Ukraine. “What do we think about marmot forecasts? The idea of this holiday remains unchanged – to draw attention to biodiversity and the preservation of the Ukrainian steppe,” says the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. At the same time, meteorologists warn: the groundhog’s “predictions” do not refer to serious scientific forecasts and forecasts. At the same time, the marmots Marichka and Myshko are “forecasting” spring in Lviv. From the beginning of the great war, Timko, together with other groundhogs, was in the occupation of the village of Nesterivka until the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region in the fall.
