In London, two unknown people stole the last work of the street artist Banksy – an image of drones on a STOP sign.

The painting was stolen shortly after the artist presented it on social media, Reuters and the BBC reported.

In the photo and video from the Internet, you can see how an unknown man breaks the sign off the pole with pliers and runs away with it in front of passers-by.

The next day, December 23, the police said that one of the men was arrested on suspicion of theft and damage to a traffic sign.

He is being held in custody.

London police say the investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers also ask anyone who knows where the sign is to call the police.

In the meantime, the local authorities have installed a new road sign at the site so as not to endanger road users.

We will remind you that Banksy is an English street artist who does not reveal his identity and creates graffiti on acute social topics.

The latest work, which depicts three military drones, was interpreted by Banksy’s followers on Instagram as a “call for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip,” writes the BBC.

Previously, the artist created several graffiti in the cities of the Kyiv region that suffered from the Russian invaders, in particular, in Borodyanka, Irpen, Gostomel, Gorenka, and Kyiv.

The incident with the “kidnapping” of the artist’s work also happened in Ukraine. The volunteer who cut the graffiti “Woman in a gas mask” from a wall in Gostomel was sentenced to three years of probation.
