Ukrainian polar explorers from the “Akademik Vernadskyi” station showed an unusual “swing” for penguins in the Antarctic.

During the sea trip, they saw a group of penguins swinging on a small iceberg.

The interesting moment was filmed by the system mechanic of the 28th UAE and driver Oleksandr Milashevskyi, the National Antarctic Science Center reports.

“When you are a penguin in the Antarctic, the swing is appropriate for you… A whole group of penguins gathered at the edge of the ice.” – wrote the researchers.

Adélie penguins joined the subantarctic penguins, of which there are more than 5,000 near the station. There are very few of these birds on Galindez Island.

The birds rested a little, chattered among themselves and went on to hunt for wings in the ocean.

“We hope this video will give you some happy moments even in these difficult times”– say polar explorers.

We will remind you that the first penguins hatched near “Vernadsky” in 2023: polar explorers are waiting for a baby boom.
