Brothers from Odesa, who were injured by a Russian missile, returned to their native country for treatment after a year of rehabilitation in Great Britain

First aid was provided to the children in Odesa, and later they were transported to Lviv to St. Nicholas Hospital.

After a year of rehabilitation in clinics in Austria and Great Britain, the children have almost completely recovered – the younger Yakiv walks, the older Volodya moves his hand.

However, a year after the impact of the Russian missile, new dangerous consequences of mine-explosive trauma appeared in the orphans. Yakov started having neurological disorders – convulsions. Because of them, he has already been hospitalized twice.

Yakov was diagnosed with hidden epilepsy and suspected “my-my” disease

It was not possible to find out the cause of the attacks, so the guardian decided to turn to Ukrainian doctors for help.

In Ukraine, children underwent an electroencephalogram – a study of brain function, which revealed the cause. Yakov has hidden epilepsy and suspicion of “moya-moya” disease, when nodules form in the vessels of the brain. And this is a huge risk that the stroke will repeat itself.

The examination revealed similar problems in the eldest of the brothers – Volodya. During the active phase of sleep, the young man also begins to have seizures.

Currently, both brothers have been prescribed anticonvulsant therapy.

In half a year, the Yankovsky brothers will come to Lviv again from abroad.

Children dream that when Ukraine wins, they will return home forever.
