Called happy women with money: the capital comedian “joked” about widows

Participant of the comedy show “Alcomics” Victoria Taran joked about widows, calling them happy women with money.
The clip, which has already been removed from the network, appeared on the “Capital Standup” page. In it, Victoria asks: “Do you know what they call happy women with money?” And she answers to herself: “Widows.”
Later, the woman apologized for her joke, an apology was also written on the show’s page, which is remotely similar to an apology. However, the public is outraged by such wartime humor.
“This joke is like a spit in the face of thousands of widows, mothers, and children who have become orphans“, – notes the editor-in-chief of “Public Radio” Tetyana Troshchynska.

Alina Mykhaylova, a paramedic and the fiancée of the fallen soldier Dmytro Kotsyubail (“Da Vinci”), also reacted to the outrageous joke. She emphasized that he humiliates the relatives of the dead Ukrainian soldiers.
“Today, we are still recovering from our next losses, the guys are ironing their clothes from the blood of their brothers, the mind and worldview of everyone is looking for something that will not allow the psyche to break completely.
You read the news in which rockets and drones again flew to kill civilians, including our relatives. And here some fucking bitch makes fun of widows and some freaks applaud…“, writes military serviceman Stepan Radul.
On the page of “Stolichny Standup” they wrote that the joke does not reflect their position.
“Victoria is not our resident. The Alcomics show is not on our YouTube. Yes, we are to blame for posting it on us because we didn’t think it could have a context about military wives. Given that context, the joke is terrible and we agree. We apologize”the comedians wrote.
Victoria Taran’s apology was also made public there. She stated that it was not my duty to offend women.
“I certainly didn’t mean to make fun of women who lost their husbands. He wasn’t referring to women who have warrior husbands. Girls, I’m so sorry to you.
The joke was unsuccessful, and in the realities of war it could not be published. Because it affects the feelings of each of you. In the future, I will be more responsible about the material I write“, the humorist assured.
The organizer of the “show” Vlad Bivalin also published a post on the club’s page.
“I sincerely apologize to all the widows of Ukraine. This joke should not have reached the Internet. I overlooked it, because I perceived this joke in the direction of women who are looking for “daddies” – this context was primarily included“, he promised.
