A series of concerts will be held in iconic halls of Germany to mark the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine “Unbreakable” two Ukrainian collectives: the National Ensemble of Soloists “Kyiv camera” and a young orchestra Mriya.
The Mriya Orchestra was created in the spring of 2022 from musicians who found refuge in Germany due to the war. The collective teamed up with the world-famous Kyiv Camera ensemble to give German listeners an opportunity to get acquainted with modern Ukrainian academic music, as well as to remind that Ukraine has been under full-scale war for over two years, and Russian aggression for over ten years, which began with the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of part of Donbas.
“This project is important, because it is a meeting of two collectives that, in various difficult conditions, continue to live and carry Ukrainian culture to the world. The Mriya orchestra, which opens Ukrainian music in the best halls of Germany, and the legendary collective “Kyivska camerata” join forces. I believe that these concerts on such very difficult dates for us will bring great media resonance in Germany“, the author of the project, head of the orchestra Mriya, is convinced Kateryna Suprun.
“Unbreakable” concerts will be held under the baton of a famous conductor Year of Fargaswho was educated at Cambridge, the Royal Academy in London, and is currently studying at the Franz Liszt University in Weimar.
