The 21-year-old owner of the dog turned to the police and said that her animal was killed in a veterinary clinic, the police of the Kyiv region reports. On April 12, a woman gave a Pomeranian Spitz puppy named Marcel for a grooming procedure. In half an hour, the employees of the salon returned the dog dead and could not explain the reasons. “On April 12, at 5:57 p.m., a message was received on line 102 that the applicant had a conflict with the employees of the veterinary clinic in Bila Tserkva. She brought a Pomeranian for grooming, about half an hour passed, and she returned. The veterinarians took her to the room where the dog was lying, where they had to cut it. One of the employees seemed to be wiping blood from the floor. We will know exactly what happened there after the examination, for which the animal’s body has already been taken,” said Iryna Pryanishnikova, spokeswoman for the National Police of the Kyiv region. The only thing is that they wet the fur in order to cut it properly. Whether it’s right or wrong, we are not experts. An examination will be conducted and we will understand what caused the death,” – adds Iryna. The groomers assured the police that the dog was not given any medication or injections. “Possibly stress, procedures that they (groomers) don’t talk about. If the cause is physiological – cardiac arrest, stroke, overexcited – the examination will show. If the dog was given certain medications… We will understand what caused it. Of course, it’s a pity an animal,” says the spokeswoman. In Bila Tserkva, a spitz puppy died during grooming. Investigators of the Bila Tserkva police department of the Kyiv region, under the procedural guidance of the Bila Tserkva district prosecutor’s office, initiated criminal proceedings on the fact of animal cruelty under Part 1 of Art. 299 of the Criminal Code. If the guilt of the vet clinic is proven, the perpetrators face up to 3 years in prison. Information appeared in some mass media that the puppy died in the Kot Matroskin clinic. Also, one of the local residents said in a comment to TSN that 2 years ago, his cat unexpectedly died in the same clinic during grooming.
