Doctors of one of the field hospitals removed a submunition of an unknown type from the leg of the wounded defender.
About this case told in the Command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A submunition is a combat element of a cluster munition. The x-ray shows that it hit the soldier’s thigh. The length of the ammunition is about half the doctor’s palm.
The Medical Service noted that the soldier also has a concomitant fracture and complications caused by it. Despite this, the doctors managed to save the limb.

“This type of ammunition is encountered by medical personnel for the first time, so its name remains unknown to us, but it is no less “striking”, – the post says.
Doctors are currently preparing the defender for further medical evacuation.
“Despite the devastating actions of the enemy and his cruelty, we continue to fight for life and freedom!” – added in Medsyla.
