In Vinnytsia, investigators announced a suspicion of murder due to carelessness to a woman who dropped a 3-month-old baby while drunk and did not seek medical help. She gave him to his parents and kept silent about this case, trying to hide the crime. The boy died as a result of the injuries he received,” the Prosecutor General’s Office emphasizes. Zarina Majevska notes that when the woman let go of the baby, she was intoxicated. This was proven by a toxicological examination. According to the police, the boy was wrapped in a blanket and simply slipped out of the caretaker’s hands. She picked him up and returned home. He assumes that the woman wanted to go somewhere with him. She returned the child to her parents when she sobered up. The suspect was placed in custody, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported. Vinnytsia law enforcement officers are conducting a pre-trial investigation. “The guardian of the dead baby faces imprisonment from 3 to 5 years,” adds the head of the communication department. According to Zarina Majevska, all participants in the tragedy are being interrogated. The actions of the child’s parents will also be appreciated.
