A military medic with the call sign “Tsiba” works in the evacuation group of the “Spartan” brigade. The man was “introduced” to tactical medicine at the beginning of a full-scale invasion and already has almost two years of experience in the war.
“Anyone can become a combat medic“, – is quoted by “Tsiba” in the National Guard.
The “Tsiba” evacuation group consists of a doctor and a driver. Its main task is to quickly respond to a call and stabilize the condition of wounded soldiers for their further evacuation to a stabilization point.

“The algorithm of actions is not difficult, but every detail and minute is important in it, because it is about people’s lives“, says “Tsyba”.
The knowledge that the man acquired during the training of a paramedic was only partially useful to him, because in tactical medicine, help is provided in a different way than in civilian medicine, the man says.
“The difference is that at the front, speed and sequence of actions play a leading role. This can be taught to anyone, so anyone can become a combat medic. The main thing is desire.” – says the national guard.
Also important are the means by which you can help the wounded – equipping the evacuation vehicle and the personal backpack of the medic.
In particular, the car should have hard and soft stretchers. The others are usually used to transport the wounded or if he needs to be taken from somewhere, says “Tsyba”.

“There should be a backpack that contains everything for providing medical aid while we are transporting a soldier: bandages, dressings, drips and all painkillers. A backpack is also necessary for going to a position.
If a person is in a car, we have everything we need inside: tourniquets, bandages, gloves, scissors to cut armor, syringes, dressing materials, occlusive dressings and bandages. All this is necessary in order to bring a person to a stabilization point”– says the National Guardsman.
The doctor notes that there are both difficult and pleasant moments in the work, which give an incentive to continue the service.
“During the entire time of work, our crew saved more than a hundred lives of soldiers. It is pleasant when we provide help, save the lives of our guys and see that they recover.” – added the doctor.
