In Rome, one of the most outstanding archaeological finds of Italy in recent decades, which was discovered in Tuscany, will be presented. These are Etruscan and Roman statues that were pulled out of the mud thanks to the intuition of a local pensioner. About two dozen bronze statues, pulled from the ruins of the ancient resort, will be presented in Rome’s Quirinal Palace on June 22 after months of restoration, writes Reuters. Experts called the find the largest collection of ancient bronze statues ever found in Italy. The statues were found in 2021 and 2022 in the hilltop village of San Casciano dei Bagni where the thermal springs are located.
