Forecasters set temperature records in 5 cities of Kyiv region

On October 30, weather forecasters recorded several temperature records in the Kyiv region.
According to the observations of the weather station of the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, on October 30 in Kyiv, the maximum air temperature in the afternoon reached +20.6°C. This is 2.3°C higher than the previous record in 2013.
So far, 40 temperature records have been set in the capital since the beginning of the year.
Forecasters also report that on October 31, the capital recorded the highest daily temperature extremes since 1881.

Temperature records are also observed in four cities of the Kyiv region.
In Baryshivka, the maximum daily air temperature was +20.3°C. The previous record was set in 1960: +17.7°C
There were two records in Vyshhorod. The average daily air temperature there was +13.7°C, and the maximum was +20.0°C. Previous records were set in 2018 and 2022.
In Boryspil, the maximum daily air temperature on October 30 was +19.9°С. The previous record was set in 1960: +17.5°С
A record was also set in Chernobyl. There, the maximum temperature on the penultimate day of October was +19.9°С, breaking the record of 2013 with a temperature of +16.5°С.
We will remind you that in terms of air temperature, October 2022 was one of the warmest in Kyiv for over 140 years, and September 2023 became the warmest on Earth in the entire history of observations.
