Since the beginning of the war, Ukrainian families have faced a large number of challenges — from forced resettlement, loss of the usual level of family support, to issues of children’s safety during education.

The quality and content of the educational process is a separate pain. So, it is clear that parents are looking for different ways to solve these issues.

In my opinion, the key task of educational institutions is to take care of the high level of training of students and provide them with the best conditions for acquiring knowledge, despite any circumstances. In addition, it is obvious that not all parents can choose a private institution.

Therefore, options should be offered that will allow talented children to realize their potential. From this point of view, training grants become a tool that combines the interests of all parties.

Parents get the opportunity to educate their children in educational institutions with leading approaches, and private schools, such as KMDSH, have the opportunity to realize their mission and contribute to the future of Ukrainian society.

I would like to note that we are not innovators in this matter. Many years of experience of European private schools, which through various grants and programs encourage active students to join them, demonstrate the excellent results of such an undertaking.

Grants provide educational institutions and students with the opportunity to travel together on an exciting and productive journey. As a result, the former receive graduates they can be proud of, and the latter receive quality education and gratitude to the educational institution where they spent their best school years. It is a mutually inspired process.

Take for example the traditional British school Ellesmere College, founded in 1884. To support local and international students, the college provides a wide range of academic and sports grants that open the door to a world of great opportunities. After completing their studies, such students join The Old Ellesmerians Alumni Club and continue to be a part of the college, participating in its activities and events, sharing their achievements and motivating the next generations. That is, the contribution made by a private school leaves a mark in the life of a graduate forever. The more such fulfilled children there are in the country, the better they can develop this country in the future.

KMDSH is gradually moving in this direction. We also want to form a first-class community of graduates and together with them produce the successes of Ukraine. So, for the second year in a row, we are announcing a competition for awarding grants for talented students in grades 5-11. The general grant fund is an amount equivalent to the cost of 12 full contracts in three schools from the network: Osokorka, Holosiiv, STEAM.

Grant programs are designed both for our students and for children who are not yet studying in the KMDSH network.

For external candidates, we offer programs covering 25% to 100% of the annual cost:

  • The “First Steps” program provides for one year of study for students of grades 7-9 and a discount on educational services in the amount of 25-75%
  • The “Graduate” program includes two academic years for students of grades 10-11 and a discount from 25% to 100% (i.e., full coverage of the cost of education at KMDSH)

Pupils who are already part of the network can try themselves in the Zirka KMDSH program, which is designed for one year and provides winners with discounts from 5% to 50%. It is very important for us to inspire and support those who have already chosen us. All details are at the link.

In modern conditions, it is not easy to provide grants to private educational institutions. However, we strongly believe in Ukrainian children and Ukraine and believe that this mission is feasible even today. Waiting for changes, for better times or circumstances is not an option, because life happens here and now, in Ukraine there are wonderful children who want to get an education here and now. So we are waiting for talented students in the KMDSH network!
