He killed a cat in front of the owner: the police of the Rivne region announced suspicion of the intruder

In the village of Dorohobuzh of the former Goshchan district, a man killed a cat in front of the owner because the furry one ate the fish he bought.

This is reported by the police of the Rivne region.

The incident was reported to the police station by a resident on September 3 around 6 p.m.

“During the pre-trial investigation, the investigators established that a 51-year-old man, upon seeing a 29-year-old neighbor’s cat, grabbed the animal by its skin in the latter’s presence and began hitting its head on the asphalt. The four-legged cat died from the injuries he received.”– say the law enforcement officers.

The suspect explained: shortly before the incident, the cat stole smoked mackerel, which the man bought and put on the veranda.

Due to the fact of cruel treatment of the animal, which led to its death, the police informed the perpetrator of the suspicion.

The pre-trial investigation was completed, and the materials of the criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was sent to the court.

The perpetrator faces restriction or deprivation of liberty for a term of 2 to 2 years.
