A 40-year-old man who took his daughter with him to sell drugs was detained in Odesa. He put cocaine, packed in bundles of candy sticks, into the child’s backpack.
This was reported in the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.
The attacker was detained on one of the streets of the city, where he and his daughter arrived by taxi.
Almost 1.4 kilograms of cocaine were seized from him – 680 grams at the scene of the crime and 700 grams during the search of the residence.

As the head of the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region Lyubov Gordiyevska told in a comment for “UP. Life”, the girl was under 10 years old, and she did not know about her father’s plans.
His wife did not suspect his intentions.
According to the spokeswoman, the man had no previous convictions.
“This crime is qualified under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and is punishable by imprisonment for a term of six to ten years with confiscation of property. The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of 5.2 million hryvnias.” , – informed the police.
The channel of supply of the drug will be established during the investigation.
It will be recalled that a 14-year-old schoolgirl died in Odesa due to drug poisoning.
